Scott~ I still think you had a good race, especially coming off of the IM last month. Don't beat yourself up too much. And, you improved your time from last year! So, looks like you're moving in the right direction.

I don't know what your goal was but with a missing toe nail, reduced training and having just finished the IM, that can't be a bad time.

Right now I'm just wishing I was getting ready for a race. This off season stuff sucks!

Congrats on the Race!

Great Job Scott. I know it doesn't seem like it now, but any race where you overcome something will stand out in your memory longer! Unless you win of course!

90degrees plus? You whine about it being cold up here! I would not be able to adjust to that. When I was in OZ I would train on 90 plus degree days, but I don't get those up here anymore. That would demolish me. I had one really hot Long Course race this summer, and I bonked hard!

Congrats on toughing it out!

Syd

Way to go Scottie, I feel like I haven't been here forever, just a week or so I quess. Time to get back in with the best people on the web, and I'm not sure that duct tape would hold up to anything in a triathlon, the military calls it 100 mph tape but that's only speed in one direction and we twist and turn lots. I too have to credit triathlons to saving me, I started out 50+ lbs overweight and poor diet with a job that has more chair time than physical motion, now I can't wait to run at lunch or ride to and from work, man what a feeling to be alive and kicking.
Heather, you always bring a tear to my eye when I read your story, a bit here and there, cancer survival is in my family as I know it's in almost everyone's and you move me every time. Congratulations on IRON, now lets all go out and get some :).
Spike.
