Rep Power: DOUBLE DOWN will become famous soon enough
this week in training

I'm training for my first Olympic tri in October. I'm using a computer program provided by my coach to log my workouts. 9/18 thru 9/24 looks like:

Weights - 2:00
Bike - 3:25 (60 miles)
Run - 3:30 (14.8 miles)
Swim - 2:00 (2570 meters)
Stretch program - 1:15

12:10 minutes training time this week. That's a personal best so far.

I also swam my first 1600 meters non-stop today in 37:29. I think I'm enjoying the swim training most at this point.

Congrats on your mile. Looks like you're going to have a great race. I'm sure your coach knows what he's doing. Let us know if we can help!

Ok, so I'm off to do a 20 mile run. Longest I've ever gone, I'm planning on 3:15-20. I'll let you know how it goes!

I'm back! Well, I finished the 20 miles in 3:07. I felt pretty good the whole way, did the GU/GAE thing about every 45 minutes. I walked about 5 minutes total and stopped to go to the bathroom (I didn't count that time, but only about 1 minute). I was getting sore at the end though, but that's to be expected. So, about 9:22 per mile. I'm really happy with that, but I'm not sure that'll be my pace for IM. If I do the marathon in less than 5:30, then I'm stoked!
