I Made It!

I finished my first Sprint Tri last Saturday. Thanks to everyone who helped me with advice. My final time was 1:13. My run times were a 11:13 mile, which is much improved over my normal run times.

Yeah!woohoo

GREAT JOB CHICK! Welcome to the dark side! 1:10 ROCKS! You should be proud. Where was this race that the water was so cold? Don't you live in FL or am I mistaken? So what's next? Olympic distance maybe?

It was in Akron, Ohio - the weather was supposed to be 80 and Sunny, but it was more like 68 and cloudy with mist. This made the run and bike better, but the swim was frigid. Wetsuits were legal, I don't remember hearing the official water temp.

My next 'official goal' is a 10 k next month, I'm aiming for an OLY in July. (Once things warm up in this hemisphere).

Way to go!!!!!! So, how did it feel to cross the finish line? Pretty good, eh?! I've raced cross country and track, but I've never felt such accomplishment as I felt with a tri finish. And, the thing is, I'm such a junkie for it! Every race is the same feeling, I don't know if its because I better my time every time, or if its just the feeling of satisfaction in obtaining my goal. But, it is truly a great fulfillment! Rock on Sister!
