First Olympic coming up - and new ride

I am getting ready for my first Olympic next Sat. Sept 9, in Lake Geneva. The forcast looks wet and cold, but I am pumped. I just got a new ride, QR Seduza Tri bike. I did 57 last Thursday on it and ave 17.9. It is faster than I am. On Sept 10, I am going over to Madison to watch the Ironman race. Than back to training for next year. Munice, and Steelhead halves, and Ironman Madison if I can get in. A friend is signing us up on Monday after he does the race. Hope to break 3 hours at Lake Geneva - will let you know.

dd - first year Tri and loving it.

Congrats on the new ride. Good luck in your Oly. Remember, carbo loading in an Oly is critical. You can do the race anaerobically but must have your muscle glycogen stores topped off or you run the risk of bonking. Go get 'em!

dd~ Way to go! We'll have to meet at Muncie. Get ready to sign up on Monday for IM Wisconsin for next year. It'll sell out in about 4 hours (or less). There's a bunch of us crazies out there! I wish I could be there this weekend in Madison. I've got a few friends doing the IM, and I'd love to cheer them on!

Let us know how the Oly goes, and congrats on the new ride!

Heather

dd, hey welcome and I will see you too at Mucie or the Stealhead half. Good luck this weekend and remember cold and wet are better than hot and muggy any day. Just take extra socks and an extra towels to cover up your stuff in transition. Might even cover your headset of your bike if you have your helmet there.
