hairy body

I am an incredibly hairy individual, especially for my young age, and am wondering what kind of a difference shaving my legs, and mabye my chest, will make. I have read about aerodynamics in the swim and bike and also how smooth legs make bike crash wounds heal much easier. I would like to know if shaving my legs would be worth the effort and the weird looks from my friends. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

awes7, as an unhairy guy I do the shaved leg thing and not too many people notice, I do it because it feels a whole better when I'm getting a leg massage after a long ride or run, no hair is pulled and just the muscle is worked, and my primary massage people are my daughters, who are not into body hair anyway. I have a few friends that are hairy like you and one of them shaved his legs once and he looked wicked unbalanced, and he felt that way too. So my advice to you is to let it grow and find someone who dosen' mind rubbing a hairy guy and get use to the pain it will inflict. And as a side bar to hmullet, yes I will post a calf picture as soon as I get one, just for you.
Spike.

Trim

I'm a pretty hairy guy, but keep my legs shaved (naired actually) and keep the rest of the lawn in check with electric clippers and the #1 guard. Not sure how much time it saves, but it looks a lot better when cruising around without a shirt. Be brave...give it a try.
