Geared up and ready for the season

Well I am now complete. Made my final big purchase to get me ready for my 1st Tri season.

I bought a Quintano Roo (sp?) Ultrajohn wet suit. Why this one?? Well, first it was in my budget of low $200 range. 2nd it fit well. I also tried the Ironman brand but felt that it was more constricting at the neckline.

Anyway, I am glad that I found a store that I could go to and try them on. I had one on one help and was able to try on the 2 different brands in 2 different sizes before I settled on the one I purchased. I am glad I did not buy via the net because I am sure I would have kept something that did not fit correctly or I would of had to make multiple returns to get it right.

Now I just look forward to using it!

Here's what I am competing with:

Swim - Quintano Roo Ultrajohn wetsuit (sleeveless) with Pear Izumi Tri-shorts underneath

Bike - Trek 1200 ( Added Profile Design Aero bars).

Run - Nike Air Structure Triax 9. Just got these and they feel great. I had been training in ASICS 2100, and then went to 2110's. Found the 2110's were bothering the top of my feet so I decided to switch.

Excellent Jim! Sounds like you're ready. Wear your Tri top or singlet under your suit too. No need to try and get a dry shirt over your wet back in T1. Knock 'em dead this season.
