Report on adventure race

This was a very short race. The top person finished it 1 hr 44 minutes.

I finished it in 2 hrs. I was 11 out of 31. I have no idea how
competive this race was or how well I did compared to other races. The
girl that always finishes a bit ahead of me in other races was behind
me 20 minutes so maybe i did improve. There was about 4 kms of
kayaking, 5 kms of a trail run up a mountain and than mostly 8 kms
downhill on mountain bike trails. My chain came off both front and back

sprockets when rear derailler hit a rock. The kayak rental place did
not have any of the kayaks that were reserved so I had to take a
soltice gt with busted rudder. The trail was not marked everywhere so
you had to read the map to navigate.

There was an easy puzzle but I just froze and it took me forever to
solve it. I didnt read the instructions carefully for one thing. I
thought it was one puzzle or something . as soon as i realized the
answer to first one , i knew the answer to second one. so there were
two puzzles.
I was not able to think laterally for whatever reason. I was too
intense. As soon as orientated myself, i instantly knew the answers to
both. It cost me a minute and two people got ahead of me.

"below zero" was the sample:

0
------ = Below zero
xxxx
r
o
The word "sand" was in a box. and roads
