I did enjoy the line: "Remember, we're conservative! Check with your
doctor first".

Not so down with the rest of it, but glad to see that your negative
view of the human conditon hasn't killed your sense of humor.

How do you figure I have a 'negative view of the human conditon' ?

Everything on my page is positive.

If it wasn't for Republicans, the US would be a pretty good place to
be and the world wouldn't be half as horrific as it is.

I got a bunch for the wife and I. My dad died of cancer years ago so I
appreciate what the foundation is doing. I was kind of annoyed to see
they were made in China. Isn't there 1 rubber band manufacturer in the
USA?

You sick anti-American. You dad will be turning in his grave when he
knows that he spent all his life working hard and now you go and
encourage President Chaney to outsource more jobs - jobs that he used
to work. Shame on you, unpatriotic scum.

It was the political equivalent of French-kissing a rattlesnake when
Gregory Mankiw, chairman of the White House Council of Economic
Advisers, spoke to reporters last week about the 2004 Economic Report
of the President. "Outsourcing is a growing phenomenon, but it's
something that we should realize is probably a plus for the economy in
the long run," said Mankiw.

My question now is: How long do we keep wearing these things? I sort
of feel funny wearing it now that the Tour is over. Obviously, Lance
and his mission continues. But when do we call it quits?

It depends on your context for wearing it in the first place. If you wore
it simply to support Lance, probably it's time is done. If you wore it to
honour a loved one who has the disease or who has passed from the disease,
then you probably keep wearing it if it continues to make you feel good.
If you wear it to inspire you in you athletic achievements, then I agree
with Mike and you wear it for races (or training runs) to keep inspiring
you. I fall into the latter category.

Re: Who's wearing a yellow wrist band?

I got one to support Lance -- partly because I've liked his style, partly
because of how he's come back from cancer -- and I've had cancer, though of
a much less debilitating type. I try to remember to wear it whenever I'm
going out anywhere, I keep it with my watch to remind me.

Some people may not know that the bands are also available in "youth" size,
which is much more comfortable if you have a small wrist.
