Am signed up for Ironman Florida November '06. Looking at the pictures
and the description of the water temperatures in prior years, it
appears most folks are using full wetsuits. I have a sleeveless. I
have seen surfers wear some tops that seem to protect them somewhat
from the breeze after they get wet, but what are the tricks of the
trade for adding some extra protection for bare arms when you wear a
sleeveless wetsuit?
Go to the Pro Motion web site. They have great tops for use with a short
sleeve suit. Price is right also. Second recommendation is to look at a
Desoto T1 top.

I did your leg work for you.
Here is the link to ProMotion. scroll down the page and take a look at
men's tri suit GR. It is the perfect solution for you.

Greg,
I'm a cold water wimp and I've done IM Canada once and Lake Placid
twice in a sleeveless with absolutely no problem. Both those were
cooler swims than you'll likely to encounter in the Gulf.
Although I doubt you'll need protection for your arms, (68 - 72 is
almost ideal swimming) there's a lot to be said for mental comfort and
if the clothing additions referenced ease your mind (and warm you a
little,) then get them. You can always choose to use/not use them that
morning depending on conditions.

Cool! Just bought one of those rash guard shirts the surfer dudes
wear. Bodyglide doesn't do me any good, I still get chafed/rashes.
