triathlon nutriton powders

what are the best powders for before and after training for tris?
I went to a gym type shop and the guy recommended a mix of 70% protien
and rest carbs. (Mass Monster)
But then iwas talking to another guy he said those figure should be
the opposite way around (Edura Optimizer)
He also said have mass monster on runs and real hard efforts and
optimizer the rest of the time.

Which is the best tablets to be taking, currently i just have fish oil
tablets and multi vitamins.
Anyone tried Universal Nutrition Animal Pak. Man it sounds like it
has everything in it. Should i upgrade to them?

I'm nowhere close to being a nutritionist, but 70% protein sounds like
overkill. I would think that kind of ratio would be more for the
weightlifter trying to add muscle mass.

Unfortunately, I'm just a sports drink and occasional pasta kind of guy,
so I don't have much to offer on the really specialized stuff.

Ditch the tablets. Pre workout it should be nothing but water/sport drink.
Post workout you are aiming for a 4:1 Carb to Protein ratio. You have to
replace the carbs you just burned off in order to be able to have an
effective workout later in the day or the next day. The best post exercise
drink....Chocolate Milk.

This is actually validated by scientific experiment. I'm too lazy to dig
up a reference but I read a journal publication a few months ago that
compared milk as a post workout drink against several commercial
products. And milk won.
