I was wondering if any of the ladies had any input/suggestions/experience
with biking in a plain old speedo, no tri shorts or anything. I know people
say you should try out everything before you actually race in it but I'd
feel kinda out of place goin on rides in my speedo.
Yeah, it's one of those things that takes a little getting used to. You
can always try it on a stationary trainer if shy about the roads. find a
group of other triathletes to ride with and no one will notice.

Depending on your proportions, you may need to acquire a suit that
will account for longer torso, or better yet, a two-piece.
If you have a good "swim-fit", a "bike fit" may ride up on you. Ken
had a good suggestion on trying the stationary trainer first. That
way, you won't risk putting on a show. ; )
Ride early in the morning, preferably near a beach or other area where
people are already dressed in swimwear. Best place is one where women
are walking around in bikinis and thongs - wearing a speedo wouldn't
even get you a second glance.

I am curious about rash in a Speedo. When I see the women riding in
them (not that I am LOOKING), it seems like their flesh is in direct
contact with the seat--rub--rub--rub. It would seem like this would
create an unbelievable rash in just a short time. My female training
partner and I went to do a half-iron and the day before the race I
asked her what she was wearing. She said her Speedo bottoms. She had
never ridden in just Speedo bottoms and I pointed out the possible
problem, and the old saying about not changing anything on race day.
It cost me a new outfit.
Today I rode in my speedo with a thin, flimsy pair of shorts that didn't
really do anything but cover me up a little. I found that my legs actually
didn't rub against my seat AT ALL which is great. The seat part is so
narrow that it only came in contact with my butt and what not, but no legs.
I just missed the extra padding my biking shorts usually gave me.
