Tri training for pros

Hello,
I need to compare my training schedule to that of a pro (male).
How many k's do they do, I have read the following.
swim 30k/w
ride 200k/w
run 100/w

Me while working FT i am able to only fit in the following.
currently
swim 3k/w
ride 150k/w
run 70/w

Obviously i cant do Sub 2hr times in olympic distance without being a
Pro Athelite.
But if i could get to 2h5min that would be my aim while working FT.

What is the average bike speed of the pros in a tri? 39/40km/h

If you are only doing 3km a week in the pool then I hope that the swim
is your strongest leg - either that or your ride and run are really
quick and you can make up time.

If you go to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] you can get all the results and split
times for the elite triathletes.

Cheers,
Rob

Re: Tri training for pros

The run is about right. But you are way off on the bike and swim.

The bike should be upwards to 600k and the swim is likely around 20k at
least.

Re: Tri training for pros

this is quite a lot
swim 30k at 3k/hr = 10hrs
bike 600k at 30k/hr = 20hrs
run 70k at 12k/hr = 6hrs
Total 36hrs per week + extra 4-6hrs supplementary weights, conditioning etc
= 40+ hrs per week
are you serious? i thought its more like 30hrs wk for pro
