Having done an IM, I would think a 100 mile run would be more difficult --
and certainly take longer. That's an awful lot of painful running miles at
one time. I can't imagine how your legs feel the days after that effort. And
how the heck do you train for one of those?

You just work up to 110-mile runs in training so you have a little
extra endurance for it? :-)

Well if you take the marathon approach you would do a couple of long runs in the
80 mile range and call it good. Of course your short "easy" runs would be 30
miles.

A very nice comment from the great guy at Fleet Feet (if you ever need
shoes in Boulder, CO - they are the best!) - triathlons are easier
because you are using different muscles and joints over the time
period.
But they are harder because you have to train to use different muscles
and joints.

I've never tried smoking joints during training or racing. I think it
would be especially hard while swimming, and the air flow during biking
would make them hard to light. Maybe a handlebar-mounted bong would work
better (sort of like an AeroDrink; maybe they could call it the
AeroToke?)?
