Plyometrics - Vertical - High jump

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Clean and Snatch technique demonstration videos, downloadable to ipod

for use in the gym.
The snatch video demonstrates a double lift technique aplicable for
throwers and jumpers.
Hope you find useful in coaching and practice.

Air Time Technique
Three new videos demonstrating spatial awareness techniques for high
jumpers and gymnasts. When performing these exercises stay relaxed and
follow through with the movements focusing on creating the correct
shape in the air with your body.

Backwards Layout - create the shape of a Frosbry flop layout by
jumping backwards and landing on your front. Repeat three times then
move on to the the back-flip.

Back-flip - the same motion as the backwards layout except lead with
the arms and hands and bring the legs over quickly while keeping them
straight. Repeat three times then move on to the the back somersault.

Back Somersault - jump directly upwards and focus on tucking your
knees towards your chest. The tighter you tuck the faster you will
rotate. Try to slap your ankles with your hands, this will help to
guide you. Repeat three times before taking a rest.

Plyometric Video Description

The depth jump video is the first in a series including; depth jump
with rebound bunny jumps, depth jump to box rebound single and double
leg action.

The box to box rebounds video is the first in a series including;
increamental box rebounds, lateral box rebounds and on off box
rebounds.

The hurdle rebounds video is the first in a series including; Russian
stops, hurdle take offs, long shorts, single leg rebounds, circular
hurdles and Daily's maze.

The box take off video is high jump/pole vault specific, I am also
making a running version of this specific to long and high jump.

To compliment all of these I will be introducing a series of free
plyometric videos including; bunnies both continuous and static,
bounding, hoping and double triple jump.

I will also introducing a series of stair plyometric videos including;
bunnies, bounding, hopping, triple jump and drop downs.

All these exercises require good technique to perform them. To show
you how to build a usefull technique I will be introducing a series of
basic movement drill videos. These will include walking and running
transition drills, hurdle walk overs/knee drives drills and jumping
drills.
