Thanks Mike,
Looking forward to it! I'm not n-n-nervous at all! ;-)

Had a great swim, a pretty good bike, and felt good run/walking the first
13 of the marathon. Then I crashed big time. Spent the next 13 miles
doing math at every mile marker, and just barely squeaked it in at 16:48.
Things didn't go according to plan, but what the heck, I'm an IronMan!

Whoo! Hoo! Welcome to the ranks.
Man, that's even closer than I usually get. <g> But your medal looks
the same as Tom Evans', Ironman.

It was great! Great swim, great bike, great half-marathon, a suffer-fest for
the second half-marathon due to not ingesting enough calories but I still
managed 12:13. Sorry I didn't see you....we probably crossed paths on the
run course though!

Thank you! I'm thrilled.....and not a little shocked. That doesn't stop me
from musing on things I could have done differently/faster but my goals
going in were to beat 13 hours, run the marathon except for aid stations,
and finish unhurt. I did have the luxury of a *lot* of preparation this
year. Also, I completed my first triathlon 16 years ago, so you can surmise
it took me a LONG time to work up the courage for this!
