OK, who's going? If you are racing, have you received your race packet yet?
I haven't and am starting to worry about it. And who's going to take my
place this year as a volunteer in the transition area?

I just saw this on the website FAQ:
"When will the race packets be mailed out? Race packets are not
mailed. They can be downloaded from the website when they are
available. It will be announced at the top of the site homepage when
they are ready for the current year's race."
Also on the website I noticed that packet pickup ends forever at 4:30
Thursday. My plane doesn't arrive until 2 pm. Am I out of the race if
my plane is late? This is scary.

Susan,
Call them. Today! They should be able to work with you.
That sounds unrealistic, ending packet pickup 2 days before the race.
Maybe it's a typo?

No, the website has said for a long time that you have to check in by
Thursday. The only new information is that it ends on 4:00 Thursday (not
4:30, which makes your flight time even worse, Susan). The athlete
information booklet was just added to the website and has a lot more
detail on the schedule. I'd try to get an earlier flight, by a day if
necessary, to insure being at packet pickup during the posted hours. The
booklet says in big red letters that if you don't register during the
posted hours, you don't race. There's also a requirement for photo ID, so
be sure to have that with you.
I haven't read the whole thing yet, but wanted to be sure to get the word
to Susan about registration.

Goodness, that's all you need before the race - more stress!!
Maybe what threw me off is that the race in FL is on Saturday, rather
then on Sunday. LP is on a Sunday, IIRC.
Observation: Very few races in the south are on Sunday. The churches
scream.
I agree that she needs to look at changing flights.

That's it? Me and Susan? Surely there are more of you out there.
