Re: wind/mag trainer features

I'm looking ot do the same. I was looking at the CycleOps
?Electronic? model w/ a gauge that measures power output. I've heard
good things about the CycleOps products. Can anyone give some advice
or suggestions on either the Electronic vs the Fluid trainer they
offer? Would my money be better spent on a stand-alone spinner for
the basement?

My cyclery recommends rim drive; tyre drive apparently wears tyres badly.

go with the cycleops fluid2. It costs a bit more--i think average around
$300 but it is quiet, very stable, and very durable. As for the tires...i
just throw a cheapie on and i am good to go.

Re: wind/mag trainer features

I thru on a cheap tire, let it wear out. I found, after about 100
hours on my CompuTrainer last winter, that there was little tire wear,
at least not enought to worry about.
