any experience with Kestrel warranty

Our LBS has not given up yet, but it is starting to look bad. We sent
our Kestrel frame back to them in 2002 after getting cracked in the
baggage area of an airplane (in a hard shell case even). They repaired
it (for a small fee). Now, after 2 years, the crack has come back,
and is much bigger - almost all the way around the chainstay. So we
sent it back to use the no-fault lifetime warranty feature - get a new
frame at significantly reduced cost... they are not being very quick
to help us.
I am very suprised, I always heard very good things about Kestrel
warranty.
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
thanks alot

Re: any experience with Kestrel warranty

Try calling or emailing Kestrel service directly. I have had 2
warranty incidents with them over the 10+ years I've owned Kestrels,
both handled well above and beyond what I had hoped for. Nothing but
praise from this happy multiple Kestrel owner. Troy (the warranty guy)
has always been quick and straightforward to deal with.

Hope this works out well for you!

Ditto as to what the other guy said. Kestrel didn't blink, my LBS was
great.

I broke off the rear deraileur last spring. The new frame took 2
months to get here, had to come from Asia, customs was slow. LOL, got
reaquainted with my Trek 1100, now I appreciate carbon frames again.

I got a new frame for half price.

Re: any experience with Kestrel warranty

There is a happy update to this!! I did contact Kestrel myself, and
started an email conversation with Troy, and they did come thru with a
great offer on either an Evoke frame, or the Airfoil Pro. We are
getting the Airfoil Pro! so, after a little delay, we are happy
Kestrel customers again!
thanks for the help
