Bike suggestions...200 pounder....

Okay, I've done a couple of triathlons, but of the alternative variety....
Kayak instead of cycle in my part of the world.

So, with a view to getting into the game at a mid to near high level at
least locally (I've no aspirations beyond that as I'm 42 and drenched in
responsibility that steered it's way clear back when I was a younger)
athlete.

Anyway... My last bike was a Bianchi with a 64cm frame (stolen back in the
early 90's). In the last few days of shopping around it seems that things
have changed....

I'm 6'5", and 200lbs even. Any bike suggestions will be investigated, with
thanks in advance. I'm not too concerned about price, but probably $2k
would get me there.

Pls reply to group

Thanks,

Jeff H

Some really good advice which you'll often get on this group: if you're
only going to own one bike for road riding, it should be a road bike.
I'd avoid getting a dedicated time-trial bike right away because, for
example, you wouldn't be welcome to ride with road cyclists (drafting
and aerobars don't mix).

I am 5 10 and about 180 and I have been riding a Klein Quantum and am
using Ultegra group. Its a very stiff frame and I ride on group rides
as well as add the clip on aerobars and use to do triathlons. I have
been on a Klein since 1990.
