I just completed my first triathlon in Naperville, IL. I had trained since January and thought I was ready and could complete the tri in the time it took me when I was practicing inside. Instead of the swim taking me 10 min it took me 15 because there were so many people stopped in the middle of the pool(http://www.napervill...ntennialbeach/). The middle lane line broke and there were people treading water trying to figure out where to go. It was mass chaos. However after the swim, everything went as planned. I planned on an hour for the bike and it took 1 hr and 2 min. I planned on 40 min max for my run and it took 38 min. Overall I am very pleased that I made it through safely and am looking towards doing another tri in the future. Hopefully to improve my time now that I know how it goes.
I wish everyone well in their triathlons!
