My 9 year old son is getting interested in Tri's and has been showing me a commitment to it for about a month now. One major issue I have is his bike - he currently has a typical "kids trick/stunt" bike. I want to get him a true road bike. Does anyone have any advice about a good youth road bikes. I ride a Trek myself and love it but don't know if there are any better brands/models out there designed for youth. He is about 54" tall if that helps.

thanks!

Trek makes a nice road bike for kids. It is the KDR 1000. Felt makes one also, they are both priced around $650.00
