I am new to the sport - Stand at a Sky Scraper-esque 5 foot 6 - and January 9th 2008 topped out at 204 pounds on the scale. Well writing on May 27 - now still stand 5'6 (funny how that doesn't change) but i am now 147 lbs.
In my journey to weight loss and better health - i decided i wanted something to really put the exclamation point on my travels. Thus i entered into a Sprint Tri - coming up on July 20 in Falmouth MA.
I am so into it and into my training that this will definately not be a one time event for me- i love it. I want to do this thru my 40's and 50's (i am 39) - so this is just the beginning -
I would LOVE to talk with others abotu Tri's - anything you all could say would be greatly appreciated and read with enthusiasm.
My training has been great thus far - with the exception that i broke a toe last week - and had to take about 9 days off - i am running on said broken toe now - and times are still good- just have to tolerate the pain a little more.
Anyone want to talk TRI?
