As far as endurance levels go how does a Full Marathon hold up against a Half Ironman. of course understanding you are not only running but biking and swimming as well in the Half.

2 years ago I trained for a marathon using a 1/2 IM training program. My 1/2 IM was 3 weeks before my marathon so I figured it would be perfect. The only thing I did differently, was the week after the 1/2, I ran a very, very slow 3 hour run. I think I barely covered 17 miles in that three hours. I tapered for the last two weeks and ran the marathon unijured and had a great day! I think it's a perect compliment to marathon training.

If you mean in terms of difficulty, I think a 70.3 is tougher.
