Best of luck Scott. IM's are a real journey. I'll be starting my countdown next month! I'm jealous. Make the most of it, and remember that the goal in your first Ironman is to finish. So take in the site's along the way!

Cheers:)

Many thanks Heather & Syd. I'm excited and anxious. My trip this year will be whirl wind so I won't get to "soak it all up" but with miles of suffering ahead, I'm certain I won't forget the experience. I'll update you all next week. Thanks again!

PS. Syd, I lost my Iron virginity last year. This will be #2 (and if wifey has anything to do with it, the last :))

Good Luck Scott.

The weather in Florida is great right now. Lows in the upper 70's and highs in the low 80's. There is a cold front that should push through the middle part of the state by Saturday into Sunday. The course will get some rain and winds will increase. Keep that in mind as you prepare.

Sunday morning temps in central FL should be in the 60's, with highs around 72. Perfect running weather if not too windy.

If you see them pasing out flyers for next years event, grab one for me. I'm looking for next years dates and sign up info.

I know he finished, waiting for the race report, Scott! How was it? I checked up on you, but the website doesn't list the splits, etc. How was the weather? Must feel nice to be done!
