Anyone out there on the "raw food track?" As a former "health food junkie" albeit raised on a "SAD" (standard American Diet) I am AMAZED at how well I feel eating primarily "raw" (uncooked) foods! I was quite skeptical at first but was feeling run down and "yucky" so I thought I'd try it to see if I improved...3 months later and I feel great, look better than ever, and am running faster with much better recovery times than ever before! I am wondering if there are "others" aspiring to be "raw" and feeling great too! The only drawback to eating this way is that others don't and though most people are eating SAD fare "they" think you are the odd one! I would like to educate others in this area based on my own results! I know of some great books for anyone intereted in delving in to the topic! Have a great day! Now go eat some apples!

Please expand on this topic. I have been a health food nut the last 5 years and worked to incoorperate it into a lifestyle rather than a fad. I have basically put together my own diet with some sucsses when teamed with exercise. I would love to here more on this raw thing. thanks

I would rec. Brigitte Mars book "Rawsome" and or Natalia Rose's book "The Raw Food Detox Diet" as well as www.rawfoodtalkforum.com a great informational web site for newbies to the raw lifestyle. For the record, I have been raw now since August 2005 and am doing fantastic!!!! Please let me know if you'd like more info or have specific questions. Have a great day!

I'm entirely impressed and happy for you. How do you get your protein? Doesn't your diet get boring?

Unfortunately, I am unwilling to give up my diet. George Carlin passed yesterday so in tribute I give you his manta; "If God didn't want me to eat animals, he wouldn't have made them out of meat".
