Hi All,

I'm new to Tri Week, this is my first posting. I just want to let everyone know a little about myself, and the triathlon I will be attempting over these Christmas Holidays.

My name is Brad Hector and I am a university student at Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga. In December and January of this year, i will be undertaking and event called Tri For A Wish, which is a triathlon to be completed solo by myself involving a swim from Rottnest Island to Perth (20km), cycling from Perth to Melbourne (3,950km) and running from Melbourne to Sydney (1,080km), covering a total of 5,050km within 40 days to raise much needed funds for the Starlight Foundation.

This year over 600,000 children are expected to be hospitalised across Australia, and the Starlight Foundation aims to reach every one of these children. Unfortunatley their resources only allow them to reach approximately 200,000 children, or less than one-in-three. The Starlight Foundation receives no government funding and only receives funds from the genorosity of the community and events such as Tri For A Wish. The aim of Tri For A Wish is to raise the $5,000 required to grant a wish for a seriously ill child. Currently there are over 500 children on the waiting list for this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Currently, i'm looking for sponsors, people who may like to assist, or just make a donation. I urge you all to go to my website (www.triforawish.com) and tell all your friends about it, especially those involved in triathlon.

Proudly supporting the Starlight Children's Foundation of Australia.

All funds raised go towards putting smiles on the faces of seriously ill children and their families.
