Wet Suits

What are the pros and cons of a full vs sleeveless wet suit. I own a full wet suit, but the sleeves seem to constrain my motion. I would like to upgrade.

With the sleeveless ones, the water freezes you more quickly and directly on your body, which is not very pleasant.

Take time to accustom you to your wet suit before the start-up of the race.

I hope this helps.
Bye

Having only used a full wetsuit, I can't really comment on the difference; however, with respect to the sleeves restricting your arms I'd suggest you're maybe not getting the wetsuit pulled up enough. A friend of mine had similar complaints, until during a training swim I helped them get the suit pulled up more and it seemed to make a real difference. I typically pull the body and sleeves up higher than I need to, as I was told it is easier to pull back down, than to pull up once you're in.

I hope this helps somewhat. Good-Luck!

I will give that a try on my next open water swim.

Thanks !
