Weekend Workouts and Announcments 2/2

"Mainly, I like to have fun. Swimming is all about having fun, and I am firm believer that you should keep swimming as long as you are having fun, but I can say that it becomes much more fun as you get older and learn more about the sport, life, and especially more about yourself." - Scott Goldblatt

We had a great turn out at the Intro to Track this week. Tons of great people, new, long-timers, and even a few people who had disappeared for a while. Tuesday starts a whole new track season and it is going to be better than ever. This week also had 2 incredible spin nights to sold out crowds.

Upcoming Events:
Bowling with PEPs, 2/3 - A great event with fun, beer, and balls. Free for members, but contributions encouraged
Heart Rate Clinic, 2/12 - Learn how to train smarter using heart rate monitors.
Flat Tire Clinic, 2/18 - You need to know how to change a tire, and here you can learn from the best.
Swim Clinic, 2/25 - Swimming is all about form. Learn the skills to swim great!

We have a few workouts posted for this weekend:
(Please feel free to sign up for any workout or post your own!)

Saturday Bike at 7:45 am: Janelle is leading a mellow, but drop, ride on the ole Paradise Loop. See details here .
Saturday Bike at 9:00 am: Adam is leading a great NEW MEMBER RIDE! with optional lengths. A great ride for new and old. See details here and here.
Saturday Bike at 9:00 am: Richard is heading to the hills for the beautiful Alpine Dam and Seven Sisters. See details here.
Saturday Bike at 9:00 am: Edith is making a quick round of Paradise Loop. See details here.
Sunday Run at 10:00pm: Coya is leading a great training run on a beautiful course in Marin to train for Tri-Not-To-Ralph. See details here.

Sponsor of the Week:
Aches and pains? Now is a good time to fix those injuries. Presidio Sports and Medicine are the people to talk to for your physical therapy, massage, aquatic therapy, orthodics, and pilates needs

Website of the week:
I think roadbikereview.com is a gem of a site for anything bike related. While definitely geared (haha) for the roadie, it is a great place to hear what others have to say about bikes, components, and wheels. Tons of good info and a very active forum also.
