O.K. guys I wasent sure where to start this thread so I decided to go at it here, not only have I started to train without socks in the run, but also on the bike. My buddy sfricks says go for it and you will like it, well scott, your right, however, some pain has set in. On my bike rides of all distances going sockless has no ill effects at all and the feel of the inside of my cycling shoes is quite nice. Now to the run, my toes are taking quite a beating with blisters and just being rammed into the front of my shoes, my form is not what you would call stellar but I have been doing it for a long time without blistering. I read somewhere that superglue is a good form of rub protection, being a avid model airplane builder and weekend pilot I know what superglue on your skin is like (just wait until its dry before puting on your shoes) and don't glue your toes together. Maybe my shoes are the real problem and I need to get some new ones. I will try some of the other things that were suggested and stop whining![]()
Any other options would be appreciated since I now think that going comando (at least where my feet are concerned) is the way to go.
Thanks for letting me ramble.
Spike.
