Description: A product of the latest developments in Aegis engineering, the Victory is a sleek and aerodynamic tour de force that has become a regular at local criteriums, short course triathlons, and the Ultraman Championships alike. The apex of precision carbon technology, the Victory employs an elongated head tube to compensate for the lack of spacers used with carbon steer tube forks. The result is astonishing responsiveness, and unrivaled lateral stiffness within an aero chassis. Wherever your cycling takes you, the Victory will be a loyal and enduring companion.

2006 saw the addition of 2 smaller sizes allowing for riders down to about 5'0" to ride a 700c bike.

Pros: Comfort; stiffnes; Feel
Cons:

At the beginning of 2005 I was ranked in the top-30 in the world in triathlon. I had placed 27th at the 2004 Olympics, and was runner-up at Pro Nationals. I was ready for a break-through year, and Aegis would help make it happen. In the spring I tested my Aegis in World Cup races in Honolulu, Mazatlan, and Ishigaki, Japan. After three solid performances, and a podium finish in Japan my world rank jumped to fifth. Later in the summer I raced in a World Cup in Corner Brook, Canada. The bike course was hilly and technical. My Aegis performed perfectly and I took second place, my highest finish ever in a World Cup.

A final World Cup race in Manchester, England a few weeks after Corner Brook gave me another top-10 finish on my Aegis. I was ranked fourth in the world when I started law school the following week.

Fast-forward two years to 2007. I decided to try to qualify for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. I needed my old bike back. Aegis agreed to sponsor my dream of going to the Games. They set me up on my old friend, the “Victory” frame. It is a flaming red carbon fiber road bike. I call it “El Fuego,” or “The Fire,” in Spanish. It helps remind me of my passion for riding, and the emotion it will take to qualify for the Olympics once more. Riding El Fuego, I won my first race back at the Musselman Triathlon in New York. Regardless if I qualify for the Games, I know I will have the best racing of my life on my Aegis.
