February 11, 2005 -- While the importance of cycling in an Ironman-distance race cannot be understated, the need to be a strong cyclist in short-course racing is often overlooked. Time trialing is a grueling and mentally challenging event, but increased efficiency and strength on the bike translates into both faster bike and run splits.
