How Far Away Should a Swimmer Swim to Take Advantage of Drafting Behind Another Swimmer? [swimming.about.com]

This study looked at the effect of the distance between a lead swimmer and a following swimmer to deteremine the ideal distance for drafting. And the answer? Between 0 and 50cm or 50cm and 100cm, depending upon where the drafting...
