Icon11 Tri suit

Hi,

I have just started triathlon and have done 2 races.
I am really enjoying it but I don't have a tri suit and I'm looking to get one
The ones that I have found are not like a cycling short that has a chamois covering the front and leaves one's private part VERY exposed

Is this normal? Is it even legal?
I know it's illegal for your suit to be opened and your chest exposed. Is this not ten times worse? Can someone please give me advice on this?

Thanks
Theo

I'm not familiar with exposing your chest being illegal. ???

I'm not a big one piece fan. I've had the most luck with Zoot tri shorts which have ample padding and a Louis Garneau tri singlet. No changing, no zipping, great fit, etc. I've done several Iron and Half Iron distance races start to finish in this combination and it works fine. Good Luck.

Hi Scott

I'm from South Africa
I suppose we have different rules here

I'll check out those 2 piece suits next time I'm at a race
Why do you prefer a 2 piece? Is it more comfortable?

I'll appreciate any advice you can give

Thanks
Theo

I simply haven't ever been able to find a one piece that fits well. I prefer my singlet pretty tight but not constricting like most one pieces I've tried. HTH
