Jackson County, Florida - Triathlon Week

Completed my first tri 16 years ago, and didn't do another till this year: Freedom Springs, Marianna, Fl, and Emerald Coast, Panama City Beach. My wife and 7 year old daugter, 9 year old son, as well as, myself competed in former, and my son and I competed together in the latter . Really looking to find other local families to train with. I'm a UF grad, politically moderate, employed, and like to run/bike weekends.

Go Gators! I grew up in Green Cove Springs and think I've dove evry spring in Florida. Great place to live, just too darn cold :)

Scott, I'm born and raised in Gainesville so yeah, Go Gators! Dove everywhere myself from Ginny, orange grove sink, etc. Knew a guy from G'ville, Lars Lindquest who moved to one of the American, or British V. islands..you've probably never heard of him. I lived in S.E. Asia a for a few years teaching English after I finished UF. Nice and warm over there too.

I own propery a few miles from Devil's Den and all over Interlachen, Jax, Orange Park, Green Cove Springs, St Augustine and Palatka, so as you can tell, I love that area too. I did a Tri at Camp Blanding a few years back that I enjoyed. I also did a few of the Beaches Fine Art Series Tris in Jax which I loved. The only other FL events I'd like to do some day are Escape from Miami and St Anthonys. Although not a Tri, I may do the Disney Double next year. For those not familiar, that's a Half Marathon on Saturday followed by a Full on Sunday. Good luck in your Tri adventures and finding training partners.
