Just another Newbie

 Hi all!! Yup I am just another newbie. I have spent most of my life involved in some sport or another (including swimming, running, bodybuilding and martial arts to name but a few). I recently set up my own home based business as a herbalife distributor, and through the fact that they are the official nutritional sponsors of the london triathlon I got to know a little about triathlons. Firstly I decided to compete as part of the team for 2006, but after realising what amazing people there are involved in this sport, I decided to take it up as a hobby (pretty damn serious one). I have now planned four events to enter this year, one sprint and three olympic distance. I feel I have so much to learn and am really looking forward to the future.
Well I think I have babbled on enough for now.

Thanks

Thank you. I do tend to get serious about any endeavour, but after having trained for about three months now, I feel I have found what suits. As I said I am really looking forward to my first comp. but am listening to all the advice out there regarding overdoing it and how to accomplish goals through planned training and creating and sound base fitness.
By the way, checked out your web site, looks wonderful.
Cheers
Andy

Good luck Andy. It's tough (but certainly not impossible) to "over do it". That which does not kill us makes us stronger, right!? The secret I have found is simply to soak in the experience and have fun. If it’s not fun, it’s work. And if you’re not a pro, you’re working for free!
