Anyone signed up for 2006 IM Florida? - Triathlon Week

So, I'm glad see that there are so many of us crazy folk out here!
I'm looking for those signed up for Ironman Florida in November next year. This is my first IM, I did the Muncie, Indiana half IM this past July. Great course, but the heat index was over 102. Whew! But, now I'm moving on to try the Ironman distance and am looking for some virtual support for the next year.

I signed up....pretty foolish of me, but I'm financially committed now.

I did the MiamiMan 1/2 IM on less than adequate distance training, but I still finished. I plan on doing the Disney 1/2 IM in May as a tune-up, and then logging crazy miles up until October. My goal is sub 12 hours.....

I'm with you on the financial commitment. I've got the Muncie 1/2 in July and will do a couple of 1/2 marathons, one in May and one in October (hard to say it'll be a "training run") I'll also do a couple of Olympics and a season opening sprint or two. But, I'm a little nervous for November!

Glad to see the IMFs on the net. Give the St Croix IM 70.6 some thought. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] It's probably closer to a 3/4 Ironman and similar in climate to IMF. It's a great proving ground, barometer and confidence builder. Keep on hammerin'!
