I have been training for a 1/2 iron man tri for the past 4 months -
(i have a previous injury - where i had stretched my sciatic nerve really bad in the butt area),:( this is causing all sorts of problems (from shootig pains to constant ache and locking up the left side of my body)
i do see a massese for treatment - what i am wanting to know is there anyone out there that has a simialar problem and what they have done to fix/manage thier injury, or if someone can point me in the right direction for some sites to look at.

I had the same problem, what a pain in the butt (literally). I eventually went and visited a Physical Therapist and I would recommend you do the same. Everyone is different and all I needed to do was some new and different stretches and change my running shoes, hopefully yours will be as easy of a fix.
