Wisdom teeth trouble!

I have just recently started to experience some major pain with wisdom teeth. It has got to the point cant chew on that side of my mouth, and loosing sleep. I have my first tri in 21 days. My training has been going great. I am worried that if i have this tooth removed it might knock me out of my routine for 3-5 days. At this point it crucial to continue. I read on here about someone who had this trouble. I dont remember what thread? I was woundering what kind of off time would l be looking at if i elect to remove the tooth. thanks

If the wisdom tooth is mostly erupted and easy for the dentist or oral surgeon to get to, you could be able to train the next day. If the tooth is not fully erupted, the dentist or surgeon might have to do some drilling then your down time probably will be a little bit more. If you have any swelling, I would see your dentist to get started on an antibiotic asap and that should help with the pain. Also try warm salt water rinses in the mean time.

Thanks...i went to the dentist yesterday and turns out to be a "paradontal abcess" or something along those lines. The wisdom tooth is comming in sideways and somewhat erupting leaving a gap in my gums where a sunflower seed hull got stuck hence caused the swelling. They dug it out today i am fine. The only problem is i will have to have the tooth extracted later. Not looking foward to that. Thanks for the advice.
