HR monitor and cycling computer question - Triathlon Week

I am looking to buy a HR and cycling computer pretty soon and i had a few questions. I currently have a Garmin forerunner 201 that i have used for a while when all i did was run. It gives me pace, distance, time, lap time etc. I am trying to buy a HR monitor and cycling computer in one bundle. If i do this, then will i only get my HR when i'm on the bike? The one that i was looking at buying for around $150 seems like it's only for the bike. I have looked at the forerunner 301, but that is out of my range right now price wise. So, if this is the case should i buy a bike computer seperate from my HR monitor? I want to be able to use the HR monitor on my runs too.

I use the Polar s720i and like it. It serves both purposes well. Check Ebay
