Has anyone trained on the south beach diet to reach ideal weight?
I read a few months ago somewhere that the south beach diet is perfect for athletes to keep on the way to the right weight in the off season. Has anyone experience with that? I read in this forum that everone is talking about Atkins, but that doesn't sound right to me from all the posts I read.
I have done the diet you asked about. It is a slightly less restrictive version of the Atkins diet. You can not seriously train on these diets. I compete at IM distance and you bonk about 10 miles without carbs.
I went to weight watchers. It works for me and it worked for the biathlete friend of mine who lost 30 lbs on it and suggested it. I have lost 16 lbs in two months.
