Indoor riding

It is cold and snowy here this time of year. Would I be better off riding my rollers or a stationary recumbant bike? The recumbant is pretty much a no brainer to ride while my rollers are like riding on ice. I suspect that over time the rollers will get easier - meaning less concentration. I can't imagine them working the muscles the same but which would be more benificial for endurance building? Maybe a combination of both?

Indoor Cycling

Bob - to train simulate outdoor road conditions. I have a TravelTrac3 and pop my tri bike on it and ride for 1 hour 3x a week. Position and posture is same as on road. I even use the tri bars. I never let my heart rate fall below 150 and take it up to 185 depending on gearing. It is wonderful for simulating long straights or long climbs or sprints. Note 1 hour I will go approx 19 miles. If I was outdoors I would do approx 22 miles (my trainer is like riding an uphill gradient of 5%)
In addition to go to spin class 2x a week. That is a great change and good for the pure sweat it generates.
