Thread: I need a bike! Any pointers?

I turned 16 last month and have never competed in a tri. Most of the reason is that I have no bike. I don't have a lot of money, so I've been looking for the best deals. I thought about WalMart for about a second before I realized that was the worst thing I could do for myself. So, does anyone have any ideas of where I could get a new tri or even road bike just for training that might be less than the minimum of $700 I saw at my local bike shop? Thanks

I was looking around and found 3 that might suit my needs.

-Trek 2.1
-Schwinn Fastback Comp
-Fuji Newest 3.0

Which one of these three would you recommend? And is there another bike that would be better (in the price range of up to $900)?
