| I was happy with the distance yesterday, but not so much with my time. I literally looked up to the sky a few times and said "Are you kidding me?" The winds were bad, but at least it was good training.
I feel pretty good today, not really sore. My tummy's a little unhappy, but beer and wings'll do that. To answer your question, Scott, I like Serfas saddles. I've had three and never had a problem with them. Terry makes a great saddle as well, and I know women who swear by them. It's rated #1 for women, so I don't think she could go wrong there.
On the ride yesterday, I ate my RKT (savior), sport beans, 3 Clif Bloks, 4 water bottles (thanks again) 1 with water/3 gatorade endurance, 1 powerbar, and 1 GU. Also, I stopped halfway at my inlaws house to pee and my mother-in-law gave me 3 chocolate chip cookies, some grapes and water. Good pit stop. I had enough energy at the end for the run, so I think the plan was pretty good. I know that I'll probably need more because of the swim, but I'm in the ballpark.
With the wind yesterday, I was in aero alot. It actually saves my back, but hurts my neck. I have to take my bike into my LBS and have my beloved mechanic, Doug put a new rear derailer on my bike. She held together for the ride really well, but the crash really hurt it. So, I have an extra Dura Ace on my other bike that I'm going to switch out. I also want to look at some new wheels, I have Mavic Cosmos right now and I want something a little better. Any suggestions that won't kill the bank?
Off to the pool to get in a 3500. First time in a week and a half to swim (besides my race last weekend).
