I have a Cannondale 800 which I am very happy with. I am curious on what improvements in time could be experienced by upgrading my bike if my fitness level stayed the same ?
Have to agree with Lance... "It's not about the bike". But... there are upgrade that make some difference. I've read wheels are the best upgrade (assuming you're already using clip pedals and not cages). After that aerobars. All others are relatively minor and primarily to save weight. Skipping that Milky Way is the a cheaper way to save weight, just not nearly as fun. HTH
thanks sfricks, you confirmed what I already thought. I going to concentrate on time in the saddle and diet. I already have aero bars and clip in pedals. I was just curious because you see so much discussion on components. I don't see anything on cost vs results.

Another great post from Scott!
Always good advice.
