The Boston Dragon Boat Club is expanding it's competitive racing crews

We train hard and we race harder. The proof is in the pudding and we've got SEVEN sets of medals this year to prove it - scroll down for our 2006 Trophy Case. Want in on the action? We want you in too!

2006 Boston Dragon Boat Regatta Results, June 11, 2006 - race with us next year!

* Dragon Boat Club of Boston, DrachenFurie Crew: Hong Kong Cup Grand Prize and 1st Place, Mixed Division A
* Dragon Boat Club of Boston, Wake Riders Crew: Hong Kong Cup First Place and 3rd Place, Mixed Division A

The [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] is welcoming new paddlers to expand our competitive and recreational crews and invite anyone looking for a fun new outdoor activity to try a couple of free practices on the ONLY TWO authentic dragonboats you'll find on the Charles right now.

What is Dragonboating? It's like a cross between canoeing and crew, but in these giant twenty man fiberglass boats. This is us in the Montreal Olympic Basin pulling out a narrow win in the Premier Division E Finals on June 23, 2006 (we're in lane one):

"In the next race, however, we won, and I began to think about taking up a new sport." - John Tracey, Rowing News

We want to thank John for riding with us and for the writeup in the October 2006 edition of Rowing News! Read the article here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

The Dragon Boat Club of Boston, a competitive Boston dragon boat team with multiple crews practicing from the Hatch Shell docks on the beautiful Charles River Esplanade, steamed through it's 5th and most successful year of racing in Boston, Montreal, New York, Lowell, Pawtucket, Hartford, and San Francisco. We're looking forward to the 2007 Boston regatta where 2 of our 3 crews won the Hong Kong Cup Grand Prize and the 1st Place Prize in 2006.

If you're looking to meet some new people and get some good upper body exercise we'd love to have you come out for a couple of free practices to see if we're for you.

So if you're interested in joining us or need more information, shoot an email to: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. And if you want some thing to get hardcore about or a way to ruthlessly crush your enemies in battle, we can probably help you with that too. =)
