Sacroiliac dysfunction

I trained pretty hard this weekend (for me), and I am now suffering lower back pain that is much more severe than usual. I frequently have low back pain due to a leg length discrepency, and I wear orthotics because of that, but tonight, things are really bad. In the book Triathlon 101, Sacroiliac dysfunction is listed as a common ailment among multi-sporters. The symptoms listed match my own. I have an appointment to see my doc next week, but in the meantime, has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions? How long did it take until you could train normally again?

What are your symptoms? Where does it hurt? I think I might have the same problem. My pain is focused to the left of the spine, down just a bit into the butt. It sends little nerve-like pain once in a while. It really is irritating.
