| Annie, you are doing the right thing by going to the doc, It sounds like multiple things to me, the surface you are running on is too hard or your shoes are worn in the wrong place (due to bad form, my biggest problem) also stretch before and after each workout. I also use the old standby, ice and ibuprofin with a hint of linament, my favorites are Tiger Balm Ultra and Theragesic. Good luck and I hope this helps, keep us posted.
