How is your training going?

OK- the new season is right around the corner here at the northern hemisphere. Have you started your training? If so, how is that going? What are your goals for this year? Do you want to break your personal record, finish the race, or try something new with no specific goal in mind? Did you buy a new bike this year or a set of new super fast wheels and can't wait to try them out in a race? What is new this new season for you?

I am in my 3rd week of training. After 2 months of serious inactivity..I am back in the saddle, got some new blisters from running, and my hair are already frizzy from the chlorine. My first serious race in May 1st. It is kick ass hard olympic course, harder than Escape from Alcatraz. I did terrible last year, it was 105F and almost DNF in the run (but did not) so I am coming back with a vengeance to tear out that run. I also want to race a centry, and run a half marathon in November. I am sure I will do another olympic and a few sprints during the summer months.

So far the training is going great. I have been doing mostly endurance pace workouts, with little interval work. This year, I am not big on 10+ week of ONLY base. My base is shorter 4-5 weeks. This year, I have a new coach :bannana: who keeps me on track. I am also paying attention to what I eat, making sure that I fuel my body with good nutrients. Although I do like the occassional dessert.

My B/F got a new bike..whick I am so jealous. So..I am shopping for a new wheelsets. I also got myself an iPod mini to keep me entertained during running. loooove it.

Who is next??

Wow everything sounds really exciting glad to here that your training is going good.

I am almost a month into my training and it is going good this is my first year doing tri's but I have been a cyclist for years. I have been doing some research on getting a coach to keep me focused and set me up with the right training program. My goals for this year are to do as many races as I can so I can get my feet wet so next year maybe ill do really good.
