Help test a new homepage - Triathlon Week

Hey, I'd love your feedback on a new homepage for this site that I am developing.

Give me your thoughts on the layout and if you like the functionality. The design is a separate issue, as I will be updating that later. Let me know by replying here if you think that this page helps you get to the information faster that the current homepage.

Hey Robert,
My only thought is that the link to the "forums" might be more prominent or include a dropdown menu. Other links at the top are already represented in the graphics below (e.g.: the calendar). Took me a minute to realize I had to click on "forums" to find the breakdown of the individual "swimming, cycling, running, triathlon" etc forums.
I reserve the right to retract this statement after said options are shown to be right in front of my face!
