Which of your feet is bigger? - Triathlon Week

This came up in a discussion after a long run with a few of my buddies. We all had the same story to tell, one foot was somewhat larger than the other, so choosing running shoes was always a compromize between the smaller and the larger foot.

But then we started wondering if given enough people if this would be evenly distributed between left and right or if one was dominant (sort of like handedness). And ofcourse we would much rather have a scientific answer than just arguing over it so here we are :)

Typically it's the dominant foot AND the dominant hand. It's easier to measure in the foot but a reliable measure of the hand is the thumbnail width. If you're right handed, typically your right thumb nail is wider and thicker.
